Custom software

When off-the-shelf software doesn’t fit your process, we build a system cut to measure, for real data, real users and real regulation. From analysis and delivery to further development and modernisation.

When is custom software worth it over an off-the-shelf product?

When your process is your advantage, and no template covers it. A custom system mirrors exactly how you work, integrates with the rest of your infrastructure and grows with the company, with no per-seat licence.

What you get

What a custom system is made of

1

Architecture for scale

Designed to grow: you add further modules and integrations without rewriting the whole.

2

Admin module

Full control over your offer, users and permissions, plus monitoring of team activity.

3

Reporting

Detailed reports, XLSX export and data available in real time.

4

Integrations

Connections to external APIs and the systems you already have, from e-signatures to maps.

We build new systems and put old ones in order

The same team and the same engineering standard, whether we start from scratch or from a system that is already running.

New systems from scratch

We start by understanding the process, not the screen: we map the workflow, the data and the touchpoints with existing systems, and only then design the architecture.

Modernisation

Migration to current .NET versions, database optimisation, replacing fragile integrations with documented APIs, in stages, while the system keeps running.

Data analysis and processing

We merge data scattered across Excel files and systems, and build automated imports, a single source of truth and reports generated on demand.

Web and mobile applications

A clear interface and a real workflow. We often build web and mobile on a shared API, which simplifies development and maintenance.

How we work

From process analysis to a working deployment

We build iteratively: you get working versions that show progress, and we shape new features around how the system is actually used.

Studying how the system is used lets us simplify the most common actions and bring the key ones to the fore. That is how, among others, we built the system that replaced spreadsheets at a rail operator.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

How long does it take to build a custom system?

It depends on scope: from a few weeks for a single module to year-long projects for large platforms. The first working version usually arrives quickly, because we work in iterations.

Who owns the code?

As standard, we transfer the economic copyright in the custom software to the client upon payment. For our own previously developed components and for open-source libraries, we grant a licence to the extent needed to use and maintain the system.

Will the system integrate with our software?

Yes: integration with existing systems is the foundation of our approach. We connect new software to what already works, via APIs or directly to databases.

Rewrite the system from scratch or modernise it?

Usually modernise. Gradually replacing the risky parts while the system keeps running is cheaper and safer than a big rewrite. A rewrite only makes sense once maintenance costs more than a new solution.

Our data lives in many Excel files, where do we start?

First we merge and clean it, then build an automated import and a single source of truth. Instead of stitching spreadsheets together by hand, you get reports on demand and XLSX export when you need it.
